Elite Sports Cards of McDavid, Gretzky, Jordan, and More Featured in Prestigious Auction

In the world of sports collecting, few things capture the excitement and nostalgia quite like a rare and valuable sports card. And now, fans and collectors have the opportunity to own some of the most coveted cards in history through the PWCC Marketplace Premier event.

At the forefront of this prestigious auction are cards that represent the pinnacle of their respective sports. Leading the charge is Connor McDavid’s 2015-16 Upper Deck The Cup Rookie Patch Autograph, graded BGS 9.5 and numbered to just 99. With bidding already reaching six figures, this card is a testament to McDavid’s status as one of hockey’s brightest stars.

Not to be outdone, a Wayne Gretzky rookie card is also up for grabs, and it’s a true gem. With only 93 cards achieving a PSA 9 grade, this particular Gretzky rookie is expected to command a price well over $100,000. The Great One continues to captivate collectors even decades after his retirement.

But the auction isn’t limited to just hockey. In the basketball realm, Michael Jordan takes center stage with his 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Red card. Despite its ‘Authentic/Altered’ designation, this card remains highly desirable and reflective of Jordan’s legendary status in the sport.

Baseball and football enthusiasts will also find plenty to admire in this auction. Vintage baseball cards include the iconic 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181 rated PSA 6, a 1948 Leaf Ruth SGC 8, and two 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards with SGC 4 and PSA 3 grades respectively. Additionally, a 1952 Berk Ross Mantle at SGC 8 adds to the collection’s allure.

For football fans, there are two standout cards featuring Patrick Mahomes. The first is a 2017 Panini National Treasures Red NFL Shield 1/1 RPA graded BGS 9. This card showcases Mahomes’ incredible talent and success as a three-time Super Bowl champion. The second is a Panini Prizm Gold rookie auto rated BGS 9.5, further cementing Mahomes’ status as one of the game’s most exciting young quarterbacks.

And let’s not forget about other iconic pieces of Jordan memorabilia. Bidders will find a 1984-85 Star Company XRC (BGS 8.5), a 1986-87 Fleer rookie card (BGS 9.5), a 1997 Finest Embossed Refractor #/74 (PSA 10), and a 2003-04 Topps Chrome Xfractor LeBron James rookie #/220 (BGS 9.5). These items offer a glimpse into the greatness of two of basketball’s biggest legends.

With bidding open until February 22, this auction presents a unique opportunity for collectors to acquire some of the most sought-after sports cards in history. Spanning multiple sports and eras, each card tells a story of athletic excellence and rarity. Whether you’re a hockey fanatic, a basketball lover, or a baseball or football enthusiast, this auction has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on the chance to own a piece of sports history.
