Memory Lane’s Exclusive Auction Showcases Prestigious Vintage Card Collection

Memory Lane’s Premier Auction is currently underway, offering collectors a chance to own a piece of sports history. With its limited yet impressive selection of 120 vintage sports cards, this auction is a must-see for aficionados. The catalog is filled with highly graded and historically significant cards, making it a truly remarkable event.

One of the crown jewels of the auction is the 1909 T204 Ramly Walter Johnson rookie card. With only two cards in NM/MT condition graded PSA 8, this rare gem has quickly garnered six-figure bids. Equally captivating is the T206 Ty Cobb Portrait (Green) card, of which only three copies exist in PSA 7 grade. Also included is a highly rated PSA 6 Cobb ‘Bat Off Shoulder’ Old Mill back.

The pre-war era is well-represented with exceptional pieces like the PSA 7 graded T206 Cy Young and the highest graded PSA 9 T206 Nap Lajoie (Throwing) card. Another standout item is the 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle card, graded PSA 9. With only 13 cards at this level, and just two known to be higher graded, this Mantle card is a true treasure.

But the legacy of Mickey Mantle doesn’t stop there. The auction also features six additional cards from the 1950s, each graded either 8 or 9. Highlights include prized versions from the 1953 Topps and Bowman series, showcasing the enduring popularity of this baseball legend.

Roberto Clemente’s cards, ranging from 1956 to 1973, dominate the auction. Numerous Mint 9 graded cards of Clemente outnumber those of other players. Willie Mays is also prominently featured, with exceptional pieces like a rare 1962 Topps card graded PSA 9 and a 1970 Topps card, one of only two graded PSA 10.

The auction also offers collectors the opportunity to own four Jackie Robinson cards. These include PSA graded versions of his 1949 Bowman and 1952 Topps issues, as well as PSA 10 rookie cards of baseball greats George Brett and Rickey Henderson.

Football enthusiasts will find high-grade rookie cards of iconic players like Frank Gifford, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Namath. Meanwhile, basketball collectors can acquire rookie cards of basketball legends such as Bill Russell (PSA 7), Wilt Chamberlain (PSA 8), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (PSA 8), Larry Bird/Magic Johnson (PSA 9), and the iconic Michael Jordan (PSA 8).

Memory Lane’s Premier Auction presents a unique opportunity for collectors to acquire a piece of sports history. With its meticulously curated collection of high-grade and sought-after cards, this auction is not to be missed. Make sure to mark your calendar for February 4th, when the event concludes.
