Topps NCAA March Madness Basketball Cards Showcase College Stars

Topps, the renowned trading card company, has joined forces with the NCAA to produce an exclusive March Madness basketball card series. This highly anticipated collection comprises packs of eight cards, available for $139.99 each. Each pack guarantees an autograph card from a selection of standout players, creating excitement among collectors and sports fans alike.

The star-studded roster includes Zach Edey from Purdue, the men’s Player of the Year, and Caitlin Clark, the women’s Player of the Year. These exceptional athletes headline the series, adding prestige and charisma to the cards. Apart from the autographed card, each pack contains six base cards and a parallel card, numbered to 99 or fewer, increasing the appeal of the collection.

Fans have until Thursday to purchase these limited edition packs, exclusively through Topps’ official website. Moreover, lucky collectors have the chance to find rare dual autograph cards, with one appearing in every ten packs, adding an element of surprise and rarity to the series.

The lineup for the Bowman U NOW March Madness series features a select group of 20 athletes from both the men’s and women’s sides. Representing the men’s division are players like Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham from Kentucky, Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle from UConn, and other notable names including Kyle Filipowski from Duke and Armando Bacot from UNC. On the women’s side, stars such as Cameron Brink from Stanford, Aaliyah Edwards from UConn, and Paige Bueckers from UConn grace the cards, showcasing the diverse talent of college basketball.

A highlight of the series is the inclusion of dual autographs, featuring pairings such as Caitlin Clark/Zach Edey, Caitlin Clark/Angel Reese, Angel Reese/Hailey Van Lith, and Reed Sheppard/Rob Dillingham. These unique combinations elevate the collectible value of the cards, making them highly sought after by aficionados and enthusiasts.

The collaboration between Topps and the NCAA also marks a significant milestone for the trading card industry, as it allows Topps to incorporate the iconic March Madness logo and branding into their products. This partnership signifies a new era of innovation and creativity in sports memorabilia, with potential for future joint projects that will further engage fans and collectors alike.

Caitlin Clark’s appearance in the card series is set to conclude on April 1, as she embarks on an exclusive trading card agreement with Panini America. Her presence in the Topps collection adds allure and excitement, making her cards a valuable addition to any collection. Additionally, Topps has released over 120 Bowman U cards this season through the Topps NOW platform, showcasing a variety of college basketball talents and highlighting the dynamic world of collegiate sports.

The Topps Bowman University line has continuously featured college players for the past two years, enriching the collector’s experience and celebrating the vibrancy of college athletics. With the NCAA collaboration opening new avenues for creativity and collaboration, the future looks bright for sports card enthusiasts and fans of college basketball.
