Knoxville Store Burglarized: Autographed Jerseys Stolen

In a daring act of thievery, Cody Denning found himself on the wrong side of the law after being apprehended and accused of a string of offenses involving burglary, property theft, and vandalism following his raid on Underdog Collectibles in Knoxville. The Knoxville Police Department made it known that Denning shattered the front display window and absconded with a notable haul of 17 prized autographed jerseys, racking up a hefty loss of almost $22,000 for the unfortunate store owner.

This audacious burglary transpired late one fateful evening on May 18, with Denning first making an appearance at the store to survey the very jerseys he would later pilfer. Surveillance cameras caught him meticulously inspecting and shuffling the jerseys around at around 8:50 p.m. In a chilling revelation, it was disclosed that Denning had disclosed his intentions to return for the jerseys to his wife during this initial visit. His sinister plans came to fruition in the wee hours of the morning when he forcefully broke into the establishment by hurling a sizable rock through the window, conducting not one but two separate raids in the process.

Denning’s misguided attempts to offload some of the ill-gotten jerseys were captured when he endeavored to peddle two of the hot items at a nearby sports retailer, Pro Image Sports at West Town Mall. Furthermore, law enforcement officials highlighted that footage obtained from Denning’s vehicle unveiled a cache of caps, also reported missing from Underdog Collectibles, solidifying his guilt in the grand theft.

In the aftermath of the harrowing incident, Underdog Collectibles took to social media to implore the community for aid in the recovery of the looted jerseys. They made a heartfelt plea for anyone who chances upon these distinctive jerseys to reach out to them promptly for verification via the serial numbers provided. This outreach was designed to not only help bring the perpetrator to justice but also to facilitate the safe return of the stolen merchandise to its rightful owners.

Remarkably, despite the brazen break-in, Underdog Collectibles reassured patrons that the physical harm inflicted upon the store was minimal and, thankfully, no individuals sustained injuries during the tumultuous event. The establishment continues to solicit the public’s unwavering support in tracing the whereabouts of the stolen merchandise, with the dual aims of preventing any further criminal escapades and aiding in the successful recovery of the pilfered property.
