The National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) is set to host a remarkable charity auction at the highly anticipated 2024 convention, with proceeds benefiting three worthy Cleveland area charities. Celebrating its 44th anniversary, the NSCC has curated a special auction featuring 44 unique and exclusive items, including valuable paintings by renowned sports artists, each estimated between $10,000 to $15,000.
Auction enthusiasts can look forward to this exciting event, managed by Pristine Auction, which will be open for bidding from July 20 to 27, 2024. Interested participants can engage in the auction through a dedicated online link, with select items also available for viewing at the convention venue.
The auction boasts an impressive array of items, such as original paintings like the “Cleveland Collage” and a portrait of basketball legend LeBron James. Collectors will also find sports memorabilia including signed baseballs by Mickey Mantle, vintage trading cards featuring iconic athletes like Babe Ruth and Bart Starr, and autographed items from modern sports stars like Conor McGregor and Usain Bolt.
Furthermore, the auction features unique collectibles such as signed music memorabilia from Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi, as well as limited edition lithographs and jerseys autographed by sports legends like Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, and Ken Griffey Jr. It’s a diverse collection that caters to all types of collectors and sports enthusiasts.
Among the highlights of the auction are two standout pieces – a large canvas titled “Controlled Chaos on Canvas” by Murray Henderson, capturing the essence of LeBron James, and an original watercolor by James Fiorentino, showcasing his artistic talent in sports portraiture.
The auction aims to support three Cleveland area charities, with a portion of the proceeds directed towards the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Inc., and The City Mission. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank focuses on providing nutritious food to the community and supporting individuals in need, while The City Mission aids individuals experiencing homelessness by offering comprehensive programs to help them achieve stability and independence.
As the NSCC expresses gratitude for the generous support towards these local charities, they invite attendees to the 2024 National Sports Collectors Convention to participate in the charity auction, combining the excitement of sports memorabilia collection with the spirit of philanthropy. It’s a unique opportunity to make a difference while indulging in the passion for sports collectibles and supporting meaningful causes in the Cleveland area.
